Adolescents and young adults (AYA) diagnosed with cancer face a unique set of challenges, from delayed diagnoses and treatment access barriers to psychosocial hurdles and survivorship transitions. This webinar series explores evidence-based strategies to improve early detection, care coordination, and long-term support for AYA patients.

Led by multidisciplinary experts from academic centers and community practices and organizations, each session highlights real-world models of care, collaborative approaches, and actionable solutions that providers can implement in their own practice.

Improving Early Cancer Detection in the AYA Population: Strategies for Screening, Risk Assessment, and Provider Engagement

Discussion on the critical role of family history, genetic risk assessment, and culturally responsive outreach in identifying AYA patients at elevated risk for cancer. Faculty will share innovative screening strategies, common diagnostic delays, and practical ways to improve provider engagement across primary care, OB/GYN, and pediatrics. Learn about national and community-based initiatives on supporting the AYA community.

It Takes a Village: Multidisciplinary and Community-Based Approaches to Supporting AYA Patients Across the Cancer Continuum

Explore how cancer programs—academic and community-based alike—are delivering holistic, age-appropriate support to AYA patients through collaborative care models. Topics include distress screenings, peer connection, care navigation, financial counseling, and survivorship planning. Panelists will also spotlight partnerships that extend AYA expertise and resources across state and local networks.
